Dr. Jaime Martiz is a dedicated Corneal Refractive Surgery specialist and has been in the field of Ophthalmology since 1995. He is currently the President CEO of International Refractive Consultants. He trained at the University of Texas in Houston. He is internationally known for his work. Dr. Martiz has trained over 1000 ophthalmologists worldwide, including doctors in the United States, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and many other countries. He is a consulting for IntraLase Corporation, Bausch & Lomb, Biovision and other ophthalmic companies. He is member of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Society of Corneal and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS), Pan American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) and co-founder of Latin-Panamerican Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (LASCRS). He is also very active presenting lectures and teaching courses in many domestic and international ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Martiz has authored multiple publications, those include: The Art of Laser in Ophthalmology; Wavefront analysis, Aberrometers and Corneal Topography; Lasik and Beyond Lasik and LASIK Complications and Refractive Surgery nightmares.
