Dr. Sara Sirkin is an active general ophthalmologist with emphasis on cataract surgery practicing in the Buffalo, New York area. Dr. Sirkin has participated in at outreach program under the USIA auspices in L'Viv, Ukraine in teaching ophthalmologists associated with the phacoemulsification system techniques and diagnosis and modern techniques and treatment of ophthalmology through the years 1994 to 1996 and independently has gone to Tuzla, Bosnia as a visiting professor of ophthalmology 1999 and 2000.

Accomplishments: Dr. Sirkin was one of the first to incorporate the use of OCT in practice and is one of only 30 people to use the PHP for macular degeneration.
Professional Activities: Founding member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York, Past-chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology for the Millard Fillmore Hospital System.
Personal: Enjoys fishing, reading and being with her grandchildren.
